Digital forensics tech company Forensic Analytics has announced plans for further expansion in Scotland.

The decision comes following significant contract wins for the company, along with positive operational outcomes and recognition in the form of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Forensic Analytics has recently helped police forces around the UK analyse complex communications data to deliver a string of convictions relating to ‘county lines’ drug offences.

The tactics employed are now credited with high guilty plea rates and falling incidents of serious violence due to the evidence that can be provided with the assistance of Forensic Analytics’ CSAS software.

Since opening its Edinburgh office, led by Chief Executive Steve Rick, the company has grown its Scottish headcount to seven, including hiring Celtic FC Head of Marketing and Multimedia Kerry Keenan as Chief Marketing Officer.

In October, Forensic Analytics will partner with Amazon Web Services to deliver a roadshow event in Edinburgh, featuring discussions with law enforcement experts on enhancing digital policing in Scotland.

Forensic Analytics was founded in 2013 and has revolutionised the way police gather digital forensic evidence with its tactical and strategic software offerings include CSAS, a cell site mapping tool that allows users to analyse complex, diverse data sets and create reports to an evidential standard at speed, changing the face of policing in the digital age.

The company has also linked up with WiFi Spark to open a Service Desk base in Irvine, which will provide 24/7/365 inbound technical support services to Forensic Analytics’ customers across the UK.
