Entries have officially opened for the Scottish Cyber Awards 2027, inviting individuals, organisations and teams from across Scotland to showcase their achievements in cybersecurity.
Now entering their ninth year, the awards have become an established fixture in Scotland’s cyber calendar, recognising the talent, innovation and dedication helping to strengthen the country’s digital resilience.
Proudly hosted by DIGIT, the awards celebrate achievements across the breadth of Scotland’s cybersecurity community, from industry leaders and innovative start-ups to students, educators, public sector teams and organisations making a tangible difference to cyber resilience.
This year’s awards feature 15 categories, including a brand-new award recognising the contribution of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to protecting Scottish businesses and public services.
New for 2027: Recognising Managed Service Providers
A new addition to the 2027 programme sees the introduction of the Managed Service Provider of the Year Award, recognising MSPs that place cybersecurity at the heart of their operations and the services they deliver to clients.
For many Scottish businesses and public sector organisations, particularly those without dedicated in-house security teams, MSPs play a critical role in safeguarding networks, endpoints, cloud environments and sensitive data.
The new award will recognise providers that have demonstrated a meaningful commitment to reducing cyber risk, strengthening resilience and raising security standards across their customer base.
Judges will look for evidence of measurable security improvements, including faster threat detection and response, reduced incidents, improved patching performance and progress towards recognised security standards.
Innovation in service delivery will also be an important consideration, with entrants encouraged to demonstrate how their approach to managed services is delivering practical security benefits for clients.
