Cyber threat management firm Adarma has been awarded a £2 million grant from Scotland’s national economic development agency, Scottish Enterprise.

The funding will be used to create over 50 cybersecurity roles, supporting the company’s innovation roadmap which is set to expand its suite of cybersecurity services and Intellectual Property (IP).

In particular, the company says investment will accelerate the development of Adarma’s security operations and threat management platform.

Through technology integrations and advanced automation and orchestration, Adarma’s platform seeks to enable security teams to increase the speed and accuracy of their detection and response to advanced threats, at scale.

Bringing together an integrated suite of services covering Threat Intelligence, Attack Surface Management, Detection & Response and Incident Response, Adarma’s security operations and threat management platform aims to help organisations reduce their attack surface and take a threat centric approach to risk management to improve their overall cybersecurity posture.

Organisations can engage and interact through a portal which provides a single interface for threat management, bringing complimentary capabilities into one place and allowing security teams to plan, operate, monitor and improve their defensive posture.

Adarma intends to create an inclusive career entry point for young people from diverse academic backgrounds into the Cybersecurity sector. By accelerating the competency of entry-level security analysts and security operations teams, Adarma aim to recruit form a wider pool of talent.

This investment will be integral in generating over 50 new jobs open to a diverse range of applicants: a crucial step in providing continued protection to some of the most well-known and highly targeted organisations in the UK.

Scottish Government Business Minister Ivan McKee said, “I congratulate Adarma on winning substantial Scottish Enterprise funding, funding which will help create more than 50 highly skilled roles and could make us all safer from cyber threats.

The grant will also enable the company to expand its range of cybersecurity offerings aimed at helping organisations bolster their cyber resilience.

Among these are Attack Surface Reduction, a capability to help customers better understand exploitable vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and user behaviour across their environment and establish protective controls to reduce risk.

Furthermore, Adarma has developed a turnkey Managed Detection & Response solution, powered by Microsoft, which provides customers with an additional layer of monitoring to detect when defenses are breached and respond at pace. This offering is available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace now.
